Orlando International Airport is the gateway to famous visitor attractions such as Mouseland, Film Thing, and Blast-Off. Its IACO designator code “MCO” comes from the former McCoy Air Force Base. Due to runway length (over 2 miles) and proximity to the Cape, MCO was designated a Space Shuttle emergency landing site.
