Our map of the Gulf Coast of the United States shows METAR reporting airports throughout the region. Each location on our 36" W x 24" H x 1" D map is illuminated by individually-addressed LEDs. Weather information is presented using the four standard FAA flight category colors: Green/VFR, Blue/MVFR, Red/IFR, Magenta/LIFR.

Hidden Power - Available with 2" Aluminum Frame Option Only
Power cords. This is what happened when Nikola Tesla didn’t get his way! The available Hidden Power option hides the cord by plugging into an owner-supplied recessed outlet behind the map (completing the illusion of pure magic)!
Hidden Power is standard in our 2” metal frame options (brushed aluminum or satin black) and includes a medical-grade power supply, 90 degree 2-meter cord, and rigid removable backing. Though the purpose is to hide the cord, it can still be plugged into a standard wall outlet.
How Long Does it Take?
All METARmaps™ are built to order. Please allow 4-6 weeks for us to create and ship your new METAR map. Note that lead times will vary by season.
A printable METARmaps GIFT NOTE can be sent if you are ordering late. Placed in your festive holiday envelope, it will illicit cries of joy and adulation as attested to by former Gift Note recipients (your mileage may vary). Best of all – no wrapping of giant box required. Email us for your Gift Note after ordering.

My metar map arrived a few days ago and I am loving it! Mine covers the Gulf Coast area, but they can be custom made for any area. Delivery time is about two weeks. The construction is beautiful and professionally done. It looks beautiful on the wall as both art and a functioning real-time display of weather flight conditions. It connects to the Internet wirelessly by Wi-Fi and updates every five minutes.
Everything about the purchase experience was perfect from beginning to end -- the ordering process, communication by email and phone, packaging, shipping and delivery time. I received an email when it was finished, being tested and ready to ship together with an advance copy of the manual. Set up was fast and easy and it was on the wall working in a matter of minutes.
